The Achievement
This quarter, three outstanding students from our Summer Reading Program (SRP) have earned a place on the Honor Roll at Belle Glade Elementary, our Linkage School:
• Brielle Etienne, daughter of Bernadette Joseph (BRIDGES member and staff)
• Taylor Hart, daughter of Robert Hart III (BRIDGES member)
• Cheyenne Trevino, daughter of Juliette Joseph (BRIDGES member)
The Journey
These remarkable young ladies have been consistent participants in our Summer Reading Program for the past four years, demonstrating the kind of commitment that builds lasting success. Their journey reflects not only their individual talents but also the unwavering support of their families.
Known for being outspoken and creative, Brielle, Taylor, and Cheyenne have become program leaders themselves—actively participating in and even leading Parent-Child Activities and Summer Reading Sessions alongside their peers.

At the heart of this achievement is Michelle Rice, Child Development Specialist-the students’ facilitator, whose innovative approach has transformed how children engage with learning at the BRIDGES. Michelle possesses a unique gift for inspiring children in ways that are both captivating and mind-blowing. Her teaching style encourages dynamic back-and-forth dialogue, where she skillfully builds on students’ prior knowledge and broadens their horizons by asking thought-provoking, unimaginable questions that challenge young minds to think deeper and reach higher.
