Vice Mayor Gregg Weiss presented Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County a Proclamation declaring April 2022 as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County is a special-purpose government created by voters. The Council provides leadership, funding, services and research on behalf of the county’s children so they are: born healthy, growing up safe, ready to learn when they enter school and able to access quality afterschool and summer programs.
To ensure all children have the opportunity to grow up healthy, safe and strong, the Council starts early – providing children and their families with services that help pregnant women stay healthy, strengthen family bonds and prepare young children for school. The Council also supports programs for families of school-age children and teens, with safety, literacy and parenting initiatives.
By giving children the fundamental tools they need early in life, we help lower the long-term costs of health care, child welfare and criminal justice. That saves us all money and makes our community stronger.
The 10 BRIDGES programs are funded by Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County.
