Jainayah Esthema’s parents (Guina Vil and Woonolph Esthema) joined the BRIDGES of Boynton Beach in June 2011 when she was only 3 years old. Her parents and her sister Woodina have been active participates ever since.
For many years Jainayah and Woodina with their father were the faces of BRIDGES. Their picture adorned the first BRIDGES outreach cards.
Jainayah has always been a constant presence at the BRIDGES at Boynton Beach as a child and now as a teen. Even though she has aged out of the program, Jainayah works as a volunteer every day after school, Monday through Thursday. She helps the employees prepare for events and other task they may need assistance with. Jainayah says, helping at the BRIDGES site and events has benefited her by exposing her to new people, helping her to communicate and learn how to collaborate with others.
In her spare time, Jainayah likes to make Jewelry, interact with children and play the piano. Her favorite thing, however, is cooking for others. She is not big on watching television but when she does she prefer shows like Grey’s Anatomy and the Chicago series.
Jainayah is currently a Freshman at Atlantic Community High School in Delray Beach where she is in the IB (International Baccalaureate) medical Program. Her favorite subject is Anatomy. After graduation she plans to attend college and become a pediatrician and/or a real estate agent.
The BRIDGES program was designed to touch the lives of children at the youngest age possible and be a positive support for their family. Jainayah is one of the many children that has grown-up in the BRIDGES Program.
