Our member spotlight comes from Ana K. Gonzalez from BRIDGES at Lake Worth West. The mother of two said she knows her children’s future will be bright, thanks to the knowledge, support, and leadership training she received from BRIDGES at Lake Worth West.
My name is Ana K. Gonzalez. I am 32 years old born in Mexico. I came to the United States at the age of 16. I lived in New York and now reside in Florida. I am married and have two beautiful children; they are 2 and 11 years old.
As a mother, I have always looked for places that support my family and me — places where my children can learn and grow and where they can get a better education.
I was lucky enough to hear about Lake Worth West Resident Planning Group and the BRIDGES program. They have helped me in so many aspects and guided me to be on the right track.
It is never too early nor too late to learn. The many skills that I have learned helped me interact with my children, creating a strong bond of love while increasing my self-esteem.
I am confident that when it is time for my youngest son to start Kindergarten, he will be ready. All the excellent parent-child programs had taught me that I am my child’s first teacher and that a strong foundation starts at home.
My oldest son had several great opportunities to read to other children and has lead parent-child activities with me. The activities offered at Bridges makes him feel more confident and motivates him to be a leader.
I am currently one of the Leaders of BRIDGES at Lake Worth West Ambassador’s Group. I had the opportunity to lead workshops and empower other moms to be strong and support their families while achieving their goals.
I am very grateful for programs like this in Palm Beach County.
I know my children’s future will be bright. I strongly encourage other families to take advantage of all the benefits we get by being a member. Our children are the future of the new generations, and they deserve the best!
